Japanese Sake Drinking Culture
Sake is a typical Japanese alcohol for a long time, likened to the “national drink” of Japan. Sake is a traditional light wine made from rice through many stages of Japanese fermentation and comes with quite a few rules. In Japanese culture, young people have to pour alcohol for the oldest person first and when someone pours sake for you, you need to hold the wine glass with one hand and the other hand under the cup to show courtesy.
